Dull, cloudy, oxidized paint; rough spots called etches caused by bird droppings and environmental contaminants; and even swirl marks and holograms caused by an overly hot buffer and inexperienced detailer, are often deceptive to car owners who believe their vehicle’s lackluster paint to be beyond repair.

Paint Correction is an amazing money-saving process in automotive detailing that can save hundreds – even thousands of dollars on a respray!

Paint Correction Revives Your Automotive Paint

classic

As early as the 1950s and 1960s, car manufacturers began adding a thick, clear lacquer on top of your automotive paint to protect it. By the 1980s however, all vehicles were built with a Clear Coat – that is, a sheer protective layer designed to protect the paint from the ravages of environmental contaminants, marring, scratches, and climate. That clear is taking the brunt of everything the road and the environment throws at it!

Adrian Granados at Super Detailing is a professionally certified paint correction specialist. Paint Correction involves using an abrasive to remove an ultra-fine layer of the damaged clear coat, which is 1.5 to 2.0 mils thick. Compare that to a sheet of typing paper at 4.0 mils. The removal is negligible at .1 mil, insignificant except for the amazing results it produces!

When properly corrected and polished, paint often looks better than it did when it was new! Why? Because Paint Correction fixes uneven paint caused from robotic painters, and removes the subtle imperfections caused by storage, transport, and climatic conditions on its way to your car dealership!

Paint Correction should only be performed by a master-level specialist like Adrian, who turns detailing into an artistic skill!
